MaaSen wrote his first hip-hop lyrics in 91 when he was to attend the Swedish championship in rap. In 95 he started playing together with Shufflas. They recorded one cassette called "Support Us" before they divided into three different groups (Frotté, Shufflas and MaaSen). This Swedish gay MC is not afraid to say what‚s on his mind - not in thehomophobic hip-hop climate or the hip-hop-phobic gay climate. MaaSen alwaysdelivers heavy punch lines with a positive attitude. When we saw him onstage for the first time his DJ had quit the same day. One of his friends, CEpT, who''ve never been behind a turntable before had to take the job. Despite that MaaSen showed a great sense of unpretentiousness and made the whole thing into a great gig.
