In Demons In is a tribute to the ''happenings'' of thirty four years ago, when the world witnessed the first Glastonbury festival. We asked three contemporary psych bands to do renditions of songs by bands who played on the pyramid stage that, the first and some still say, the best ever ''free festival''. First up we have The Heads - the UK''s masters of psych rock took time out from recording their new album to knock up a 13 minute acid frazzled rendition of ''Born to go'' by the mighty early 70''s line up of Hawkwind. Then we have, from Chicago Plastic Crimewave Sound - the brain child of Steve Krakow who is the man behind the critically acclaimed magazine Galactic Zoo Dossier (published by Drag City). They have recorded a fuzz fueld version of ''Why can''t somebody love me?'' by The Edgar Broughton Band. Thirdly we have, from Bristol Lillydamwhite - famed for their uncompromising mix of ''in your face'' hardcore, hammer house of hip hop and detroit city biker rock, they have delivered us an amazing rocking cover of The Pink Fairies live favourite ''Uncle Harry''s last freakout''. Then to top it off we have the amazing sleeve, illustrated by our man Steve Krakow. The drawings were influenced by Barny Bubbles mind melting artwork on the original and now very rare Glastonbury triple LP.
