Dropout! is not the follow up to the Money For Soul album from last year, Dropout! is a Baby Woodrose tribute to the garage groups from the 60''s that have influenced the band over the years. Four cover songs were recorded during the Money For Soul sessions in October 2002 and they quickly ended up collecting dust in the Bad Afro vaults. Later six covers were recorded when Baby Woodrose did some demos for their next album and it was eventually decided to collect all those covers on Dropout! While at least some of them have similar lyrical themes, such as the antisocial proto-punk attitude of "The World Ain''t Round, It''s Square" and "Dropout Boogie" - these songs don''t have anything in common other than the fact that the band think they or the people who wrote them have been important influences for Baby Woodrose, when writing their own music.
