The Ramones were, undoubtedly, one of the most influential bands in rock history. Taking the most basic and primitive elements from the rock of the 50's and 60's with a remarkable dose of street attitude, the Ramones have created, almost by chance, the fundamental stone of the sound which later resulted in punk and its consequent sounds. Drummer Thomas Erdelyi (Tommy Ramone) was the one who got his friends Jeffrey Hyman (Joey Ramone, singer), John Cummings (Jonnhy Ramone, guitarist) and Douglas Colvin (Dee Dee Ramone, bass player) together to create the group in 1974. They never imagined that they were going to last together 22 years, and that they weregoing to perform more tan 2,000 live shows and pretty much without line up changes. The group split in August 1996, but it was not the end, since its spirit is still alive in a new generations of fans, through the rediscovering of their music and the permanentreissuing of old material. They did not find it enough to release more than a dozenoriginal albums. During and after those 22 years, all the members had side projects, where they showed many different and unknown sides of themselves. They alsosupported new groups they liked, without forgetting their origins or stopping to playlive their classic songs with other artists. In this double album, with 26 tracks we present different projects of the most importantmembers of the group. This material has a great musical diversity, emphasizing thequality of all its projects and presenting many gems, absolutely impossible to findanywhere else, and a whole bunch of not yet released and never before heard songs. Now, The Many Faces of The Ramones is available for the first time in vinyl format, so you can hear these tracks the same way they were heard back in the 70s.
