The Ramonas are probably the best tribute band to the legendary The Ramones, the New York forefathers of punk. Formed in the UK in 2004, the all-female band perfectly captures the ultimate garage punk rock sound of 1976 and brings it to the stage in energetic performances. True to their motto "Touring, touring is never borning", the Ramonas' constant touring in recent years has earned them a reputation as one of the hardest-working bands in the scene. And rightly so: since 2016, Die Ramonas have also been writing their own songs, which they mix in with the Ramones classics at their shows. This is clearly recognisable from singer Lisa's stage outfit: while she wears the obligatory sunglasses for the Ramones covers in the style of Joey Ramone, she takes them off when performing her own songs. For the new LP "High on life", the band has put together a magnificent selection of these original compositions, which effortlessly capture the 76ers spirit of their idols.
